What: Medill Alumni Club of Chicago’s Annual Spring Fling
When: Wednesday, May 13, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Where: The Tasting Room, 1415 W. Randolph St., Chicago
Cost: $40 at the door (cash/checks only)
Mingle with local alumni and young professionals while you enjoy fine wines and scrumptious appetizers against the backdrop of stunning views of the Chicago skyline. If you are looking for a job or a career change, this event is sure to be a great opportunity to network with other professionals in Chicago. Representatives from the Medill Career Center will attend our event and we will set up a career resource station, so feel free to bring your resume and cover letter for expert review. If you are interested in learning more about wine, we'll have an experienced sommelier on hand to guide us through a tasting of red, white and sparkling wines at one of Chicago’s top wine bars. Come learn about the Journal of Integrated Marketing Communications (JIMC) 20th anniversary edition. As our featured sponsor, GrubHub will host a raffle of Chicago-area restaurant gift certificates.
Due to our large number of RSVPs and attendees, we were able to secure the large room at The Tasting Room for our event. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 (checks and cash only, please). Friends and significant others are welcome. All attendees must be 21 years or older.
Admission price includes unlimited wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks for two hours and a free raffle ticket. We will also serve hand-passed hors d’oeuvres, and cheese and charcuterie platters. The bar will remain open after the event ends for those who wish to continue the party and network!

Originally established in 1997, the Medill Alumni Club of Chicago (MACC) serves Chicago-area alumni with an array of social, cultural, volunteer, academic and career networking activities. The club was enthusiastically resurrected in early March 2002 at a Tribune Tower reception that attracted 230 alumni, faculty members and guests. Membership is free and open to all Chicago-area Medill alumni (BSJ, MSJ and IMC). A 16-person executive leadership team and board oversee all club activities. Board meetings are held monthly and sub-committees meet as needed. The big MACC events each year are the annual Spring Fling and the Fall Panel Discussion.
